DSV CFO Buys Shares Day After Stock’s Plunge

DSV Group CFO Michael Ebbe bought 1,250 shares at DKK 1,405.30 on July 23, spending roughly DKK 1.76 million, according to a company filing. The purchase came a day after DSV shares plunged nearly 15 percent on Q2 earnings, and a day before a further 1.7 percent decline.

The buy contrasts with Ebbe’s own trading history this year. On February 5, he sold 36,000 shares at DKK 1,830.58 as part of a share option exercise (Company Announcement No. 1165), alongside similar sales by CEO Jens H. Lund and COO Brian Ejsing.

In each case, the executives first bought the underlying shares at the option strike price before immediately selling at market — locking in the incentive program’s built-in gain rather than betting against the stock.

That February sale price sits roughly 23 percent above Wednesday’s purchase price, meaning Ebbe is now buying back in well below where his options were cashed out five months ago.

Whether that reflects conviction that the sell-off is overdone — echoing BofA’s own view this week — or routine portfolio management, isn’t disclosed in the filing.
